Chumby finds use as head of a bipedal walker

Remember the Chumby? This device that once held so much promise seems to have been relegated to an enthusiast’s tool when it comes to churning out some really creative projects. Case in point, the Chumby you see here functions as the head of a bipedal walker, enlisting the help of a 3-axis Freescale accelerometer in order to help it balance. That’s pretty creative, and we’ve seen the Chumby turned into a 3G router in the past, as well as being crammed into another case.
