Word is going around that Garmin-Asus is preparing a Windows Phone 7 device, though it’s not expected to arrive on the market until early next year. If the reports are accurate, the company is planning to expand its Android-based lineup in the Taiwan market, with one or two devices already expected before the end of the year. This sudden report comes on the heels of the company admitting that its Garmin smartphone device may not have been as fruitful as it was first anticipated, and the company’s CFO has also suggested that the company might consider pulling out of the smartphone arena sometime in the next year if lackluster performance continues.
