Google has revealed its third-quarter earnings and has confirmed that it’s on track to bring in $1 billion this year in mobile revenue while expecting continued strong growth in the mobile scene. Considering that it doesn’t take into account what the search engine giant earned from other platforms such as iOS, Windows Mobile, Symbian and BlackBerry, this is some good money, not to mention the continuing growth of Android. Google’s CEO Eric Schmidt also mentioned that Android is much bigger than he could ever have hoped for and can become a hugely profitable business for the company, while also predicting that search on mobile will eventually exceed that of PCs.
