iOS Scrolling And Other Improvements Coming To OS X Lion

With Apple’s OS X Lion event inching closer, some possible features of the updated OS have been leaked. If the leak is accurate, Lion will replace the Aqua-style scroll bars with more minimal scroll bars that feature an elastic bounce, similar to that found on iOS. Some iOS tricks such as pull-to-refresh will also make its way into Apple’s desktop OS. Aside from scroll bars, it’s been mentioned that Quick Look would also be improved, with an instant preview of files now possible even in Spotlight searches. The interface will apparently be changed too, dropping the translucent black background in favor of white. Apple has long been speculated to be integrating elements of iOS into its desktop software, though we’ll have to wait another day or so in order to find out how much iOS influences the next version of OS X.
