MetroPCS, one of the smaller carriers in the US, intends to deliver a mid-range messaging device in the form of the Samsung Freeform II. Boasting a four-row QWERTY keyboard, it will feature customizable shortcut buttons to help you access frequently used programs in a jiffy, stereo Bluetooth connectivity, a bunch of Metro applications such as MetroNavigator GPS NavigationSystem, Metro 411 Directory Assistance, mobile IM, unlimited e-mail and MetroWEB Internet access. Don’t expect the world with this though, since the 2.2-inch QVGA TFT display is just enough for your messaging and email needs, while the 1.3-megapixel camera is so year 2000. Good thing there is a microSD memory card slot for expansion purposes if required.
