Microsoft Research works on Wearable Electromyography Based (EMG) Controller

Microsoft Research has been delving into the Wearable Electromyography-Based (EMG) Controller segment, where you will be able to wear it or have it attached to your body temporarily. What does EMG do? Well, it will offer Human-Computer Interface (HCI) which enables one to control and interact with computing systems through the use of electrical signals which are generated by the movement of various body muscles. To put it in easier terms, the device functions as a wearable muscle-computer interface. Still under the research phase, it will most probably take a fair number of years before it enters the marketable application level, and you can be sure that Kinect is just the start of things to come.
