Here’s a rather strange device from Hawking Technology. The company’s RMTP mouse has just made it through the FCC’s checks and features a touchpad and mini keyboard in the same device. It connects to your computer via a 2.4GHz wireless dongle and can be used as a multi-touch trackpad where the letter keys don’t function. Hit a button, and the device will function as a backlit QWERTY keyboard, allowing you to use it in dark environments. There wasn’t any mention of pricing or availability, but it does look like something you could hook up to your HTPC and do away with a bulky keyboard.
