NEC Japan to unveil VersaPro UltraLite Type VB ultramobile notebook

There are netbooks, notebooks, and also ultramobile notebooks. The lines are certainly starting to blur where form factor is concerned (we aren’t talking about processing power here), and NEC Japan adds to to confusion with their VersaPro UltraLite Type VB ultramobile notebook. Boasting a 12.1-inch display, you will get 2GB RAM and a 160GB hard drive – meh! At least the processor redeems it from further humiliation, sporting an Intel Core i5-560UM 1.33GHz processor. An enhanced security feature by Anchisefuto is also installed at the hardware level, where it is capable of disabling selected services where necessary, but that’s as far as machine translation of the press release will get us. You can forget about a dedicated GPU inside, making this purely a business machine and not an entertainment model. Will it arrive Stateside? Most likely not.
