Here’s an interesting quote found on Red’s forum – “Everything in life changes… including our camera specs and delivery dates…” How true, and they might as well include pricing into the said quote. After all, Red will be upping the final price point by another grand for the Scarlet simply because they decided to include HDRx capability. The additional dough that you fork out will go to more boards and another ASIC plus development. According to Jim on the forum, this improvement is definitely worth the effort put in, touting “the image possibilities and capability are incredible.” We’ll wait and see about that, but expect a slight delay in the entire package as well due to the implementation process.
