Rumors are going around that Microsoft may have acquired Linden Lab, the developers of the popular virtual world, Second Life. If the rumors are true, then the deal has either been sealed or is already in very advanced stages. Of course, what Microsoft would do with Second Life isn’t immediately clear, though maybe it could hint of an Xbox Live version of the game. In related news, Linden Lab has announced that it will be closing its UK office this week, though there isn’t any indication if it’s related to this deal or not.
