Samsung to develop joint TV-phone platform

Samsung is currently working on a joint software platform that will be used on its range of cellphones and TVs, where they are banking on a wider audience range in order to attract even more developers to utilize their products. While the vision to have a single platform for Samsung TV and phones is there, but there is no word on when the platform will be ready since developers are still working on it. Will smart TVs be the future? We suppose 3D technology will take some time to proliferate itself into living rooms worldwide, but this joint platform is worth looking into.
