Seals VR7 Rugged Phone Can Send SOS Signals When You're In Trouble

Sometimes your work might take you to dangerous locations and if it does, you’ll want a phone that will not only be able to withstand the beatings that it’ll take, you’ll want it to be able to help you in your time of need too. That’s what the Seals VR7 phone from Seals Technologies aims to do. Aside from being a rugged phone, the device is capable of sending a information that includes the latitude and longitude information along with messages to five different mobile phone numbers while setting off an SOS signal in the time of need. The phone is an IP-67 rated GSM device, meaning that it’s capable of being resistant to dirt, shocks, dust and drops. It’s also capable of withstanding extreme pressure of up to 400kgs and is waterproof up to one meter for 30 minutes. The VR7 is also capable of functioning in environments ranging from -20 degrees Celsius to 55 degrees Celsius. Pricing and availability of this phone haven’t been mentioned yet, but it shouldn’t be too far off.
