Solar electric three-wheeler is very real

New York artist Josh Hadar decided to color the world with his latest invention, the solar electric three-wheeler. Measuring a whopping 8.4 feet long, this three-wheeler is able to hit a rather impressive top speed of 45 mph, which can be pretty scary especially when you do not have an enclosed chassis to protect you. The 750-watt array of six roof-mounted solar panels ought to harvest enough juice to power the Mars Electric Motor that delivers 4.8 kilowatts (6.4 horsepower) continuous and 15 kilowatts peak. Also known as the E-Trike, it will also run off a quartet of 12-volt lead-acid batteries, maxing out at 30 miles where range is concerned. Assuming this does not remain a one-off invention and actually enters production, we do hope the pricing will be favorable enough to the masses.
