Just like the Nintendo Wii (and as speculated last week), Sony’s PS3 in the US and Canada has started to receive the new discless Netflix app, so those who are “affected” ought to see a convenient icon located right below the video tab on the XMB, which will result in full HD movies with 5.1 audio to boot. Once the app is downloaded, you can turn your old discs into coasters for guests when they drop by your pad. Neat, eh? So far there are no major complaints of the update rollout, so kudos to Netflix for making this transition pain-free.
