Toshiba has unveiled their latest Regza LCD TV series that are capable of displaying 3D content without having to wear any of those pesky 3D glaseses. The said Regza GL1 Series will comprise of two rather small models (always good to begin small, eh?), which come in the form of 20-inch and 12-inch form factors. Either way, they are able to create nine parallax images to create a solitary 3D image, thanks o the TV’s integrated imaging system and a perpendicular lenticular sheet – this results in the ability to display smooth, natural 3D images without hurting your eyes. The 20-inch GL1 has another advantage over its smaller brother (apart from the size of course), which would be an LED-backlit display panel that has 4 times the pixels of a standard full HD panel (829 million pixels) as well as the Cell REGZA engine based on Cell Broadband Engine. While we know that both models will hit the Land of the Rising Sun before the year is over, it remains to be seen whether these will arrive Stateside or not. [Press Release]
