Tweetdeck’s interpretation of Android user data proves interesting

Tweetdeck, one of the most popular Twitter desktop clients, has now hit the Android platform albeit in beta at the moment. After letting 36,427 active beta testers go through the app, the statistics point towards the HTC Desire as the most popular Android phone, with the Motorola Droid X being in second place (albeit 50% behind in the user count), while 57% of Tweetdeck beta testers use Android 2.2, with 35% on 2.1 Eclair and only 9% on the ancient Android 1.6. Android Android is mobile operating system from Google. The software was originally built by a company called Android Inc, that was purchased by Google in 2005. From its modest debuts, Android has become a powerhouse that powers not only smartphones and tablet, but a host of other less high-profile devices and gadgets. Although Android is not a community-driven project, Google does release the source code as open-source under the Apache license.
