This probably isn’t good news for folks who are looking forward to the Neofonie WeTab tablet, as it has been confirmed that the company’s managing director, Helmut Hoffer, has resigned, following reports that he wrote positive 5-star reviews of the device on Amazon’s German website, which was discovered by a blogger afterwards. The reviews were posted under the pseudonym Peter Glaser and also Claudia Kaden, the latter which was registered to Hoffer’s wife, after which the Peter Glaser review was traced back to Hoffer too. He has since resigned, and claimed that he made the posts without his former employer’s knowledge. Hopefully this won’t affect the arrival WeTab which many folks are still waiting for.
