
Today is a historic day for Microsoft, as the number of Windows 7 licenses sold has surpassed the 240 million mark, making it the fastest selling operating system in history. As of September, Windows 7 was found to be running on 93% of new consumer PCs, taking up 17% of the global OS market share. Customer satisfaction for Microsoft has also surpassed that of Apple recently, with Windows 7 being the key factor for improved customer satisfaction for Microsoft. Guess Microsoft really nailed Windows 7 on the head – question is, will it be able to last as long as Windows XP?
