A surprise tweet appeared earlier from Microsoft UK’s head of Windows Phone marketing, Oded Ran, claiming that Mac users will soon be able to sync Windows Phone 7 (WP7) devices with a version of Zune software for Macs. The tweet has since been removed from Twitter, raising further eyebrows. The Zune software for PC allows users to sync media from a PC to the phone, and Mac users have often requested for a version of a Zune client for Macs. Could Microsoft be planning to release such a client in order to help WP7 make inroads into the Mac community?
