3.5-inch floppy revived as USB flash drive

We loved the 3.5-inch floppy disk when it was first released, as it proved far sturdier compared to its 5.25-inch brethren, not to mention being able to hold a whole lot more data than its flaccid, larger counterpart. Well, fast forward a few decades, mix it up with a sense of nostalgia and some creativity, and you get a 3.5-inch floppy disk that looks like one on the outside, but inside, it houses a USB connector as well as flash memory. This hack will require a couple of disks that have been cut apart and stacked together, so that the connector will be able to be placed within nice and snug. We don’t think this is going to hit the markets anytime soon though, as it doesn’t look worth the effort to roll it out on a mass scale.
