Acer’s latest RevoView media streamer that comes equipped with a hard drive bay has just debuted, where this DLNA-certified box will deliver 1080p video playback, an Ethernet port, optical audio, a couple of USB ports and a memory card reader right into the comfort of your living room. Apart from that, we are stoked that you can load media onto swappable 3.5-inch internal hard drives, letting you switch between various hard drives just like video tapes of old, except that this time around they hold a whole lot more data. This tray itself can also play nice with Acer’s Aspire M Series desktops when th eneed arises. Supported video formats include AVI, MKV, MP4, M4V, ASF and WMV, among others. Expect the Acer RevoView to go on sale from November 8th onwards for around $193 – at least that’s in the UK.
