
Apple’s strength definitely isn’t in the enterprise server market, so it isn’t surprising at all to see them post a note on their Xserve splash page which states: “Xserve will no longer be available after January 31.” Apple also did mention that they will continue to support the expensive server, but we’re pretty sure that with such an announcement, nobody in their right mind would purchase the Xserver between now and January 31, 2011. Apart from that, Apple also churned out a PDF “transition guide” for Xserve-enthusiasts, where this document intends to explain what kind of options one has with the Mac OS X Server in the future.
