Boxee Box Now Shipping; Future Update to Bring Hulu, Netflix, and More Features!

Boxee Box is now shipping according to a company blog post, and will soon bring Netflix and Hulu Plus content streaming to your box and television set in addition to the VUDU support. Some notable features of Boxee Box include true 1080p HD video support at 60fps and 5.1 or 7.1 audio. Additionally, Boxee Box will also support a plethora of codecs to make sure that most, if not all, video files will be compatible and playable, including MKV, SSA, PGS, AC3, VC1, TS, H264, FLV, ASS, AVI, OGG, ISO, M2TS, VOB, SRT, AAC, and FLAC. There’s also an HTML5 browser for Internet surfing and Internet-TV streaming, a search feature, and social networking integration for you to browse what’s in your library and share with friends, as well as some changes to the main menu.
