The Samsung Orion dual-core 1GHz ARM Cortex-A9 processor was recently spotted, accompanied by a quad-core Mali 400 GPU on board. This was caught by our friends at Engadget at the ARM Technology Conference this week, where said machine was running on “Linaro” Linux middleware and stock Android 2.2. There are still some issues left to be worked out with this dual-core processors, and chances are pretty good that this will hit the markets sometime next year instead of the end of this year. Do you think this will be the preferred processor for tablets or smartphones?
