Hanvon improves on e-ink technology

E-Ink technology has certainly served the older e-book readers of yore pretty well, but the time has come for it to move forward – and Hanvon Technology of China has a way of doing this thanks to their color E-Ink device. Touted to be the first device of its type to carry such a display, it will definitely add some color to your e-book reading days, although don’t expect this to be able to handle the latest YouTube videos and movies since it does simple animations and not video. Boasting a rather generous 9.6-inch touchscreen display alongside Wi-Fi and 3G connectivity, Hanvon’s precious jewel might hit store shelves in March 2011 for approximately $440 – assuming it passes through the FCC’s hoops with flying colors.
