It didn’t take that long for early adopters of Apple’s MacBook Air (read our review of the new unit) to reporting a wide range of issues such as a faulty logic board, display problems and kernel panics – this within a fortnight of its release. There is already a bunch of discussion threads on the Apple Support website, detailing user trouble with both the 11-inch and 13-inch MacBook Air models. While a MacBook Air software update on the day of its release was rolled out by Apple, it still failed to address the above-mentioned issues, although it did fix the problem where the system becomes unresponsive while playing a movie trailer in iMovie, not to mention preventing the system from being as responsive as a corpse when it awakes from its slumber with an external display connected. Check out a video of the flickering issue above to get a better idea of what’s wrong so far.
