In just 10 days, Microsoft is proud to announce that they have sold a million Xbox Kinects – which is a pretty impressive sales run, placing them on track to achieve the 5 million sales target before 2010 bids adieu. Imagine extrapolating that number by five to correspond with the number of days left in the year, and Microsoft might just meet that target by the skin of their teeth. After all, the crazy holiday shopping season is soon to be upon us, so that might just be the boost that Microsoft is looking for to propel them into 2011 with a smile. If you want to help Microsoft out in their quest, the Kinect can be yours for $149 when purchased separately, although it does come packaged with the Xbox 360 for $299 or $399, depending on how much storage space you want on the console.
