Motorola Backflip Gets The Android 2.1 Treatment

The folks over at Motorola have been busy with the updates recently and after releasing the Android 2.1 update for the Motorola CLIQ the big M has released the Android 2.1 update for the Motorola Backflip. You’ll be able to pick up the Ã‰clair update from Motorola’s or AT&T’s site, and it’ll be a significant improvement from the original Android 1.5 that the phone was released with. If you’re still wondering whether you should update or not, hit up the release notes to see if it’s worth your while.

Android Android is mobile operating system from Google. The software was originally built by a company called Android Inc, that was purchased by Google in 2005. From its modest debuts, Android has become a powerhouse that powers not only smartphones and tablet, but a host of other less high-profile devices and gadgets. Although Android is not a community-driven project, Google does release the source code as open-source under the Apache license.
