Motorola CLIQ Gets Official Android 2.1 Update

Motorola CLIQ owners who have been drooling over the Android 2.1 update that many other phones already have are in for a spot of good news. Following the leaked version of the Android 2.1 update a few weeks back, the official Android 2.1 update for the device (but not the CLIQ XT) has been released, though not as an OTA update, rather it’s a downloadable zip file. The ecstasy of getting a newer version of Google’s Android OS should be enough to mask the pain of reading through the lengthy update instructions that Motorola requires you to go through in order to successfully update the phone. Still, we’re fairly sure you’re willing to read through the pain barrier in order to update your beloved phone.
