Motorola eReader spotted in China

Nearly everything is made in China these days, and it is no surprise to see Motorola’s latest eReader device being the fruit of a partnership with the China Putian Eastern Communications Company. This device looks rather out of place in terms of design – we don’t think it is aesthetically pleasing, albeit coming in a white design and E-ink display. Sporting a 6-inch display, it is powered by the Android 2.1 operating system, supporting audio, music, some games and recording. You can also hook up to the Internet (to purchase eBooks, we presume) via Wi-Fi, with a microSD memory card slot for storage purposes. We don’t think this device will sport Android Market support though, since the display doesn’t seem to be worthy of Angry Birds.
