Samsung debunks Nexus Two rumor

The past few days have certainly been rather interesting, as we have had word, nay – whispers of Samsung churning out Google’s sequel to the Nexus One, aptly called the Nexus Two. Samsung Electronics, on the other hand, have better things to do than being bombarded by questions on such a smartphone and has decided to put their foot down by saying that the rumor is flat out untrue. This means you won’t see a November 8 launch of the Nexus Two at a Samsung event, although the Continuum from Verizon will be unveiled then. Ah well, that’s all the ‘drama’ surrounding the Nexus Two, so everyone can move along with their lives now.

Update: It seems that there might be a Nexus Two phone from Samsung after all, as there might be a problem with the machine translation from a Korean source. After all, companies more or less will not respond to rumor and speculation that surrounds unofficial devices, so it would be rather strange for Samsung to confirm such a smartphone before it is released, eh? The only logical choice would be to issue a denial, and while the chance is pretty high for Samsung not to called their upcoming handset as the “Nexus Two”, it will still be an Android phone.
