Samsung Hints at Galaxy Tabs With Different Screen Sizes in 2011

Samsung mobile head JK Shin said that Samsung will introduce more tablets in various sizes in 2011. Shin says that “Samsung is also preparing to introduce various models to cement our position as a market leader in the tablet market” and “tablet devices with various sizes are likely to be released in 2011.” The company has been aggressive with its smartphone and tablet lineup, which is being powered by Google’s Android operating system, the recently unveiled Microsoft Windows Phone 7 OS, and the home-grown Bada OS. In addition to different screen sizes for its tablets, Samsung could potentially introduce a 7-inch tablet with a Super AMOLED display, which was just recently shown in that larger size, to mirror its Galaxy S Super AMOLED smartphones. The company had also recently announced that it intends to sell at least 1 million Galaxy Tabs by the end of 2010. In contrast, Apple had sold that many iPads in the first 28 days of launch under supply constraints.
