Sony Ericsson’s CEO, Bert Nordberg, has dropped some hints on the PlayStation phone in a recent interview. While he didn’t directly confirm the existence of the phone, he did mention that there was “a lot of smoke” and therefore there “must be a fire somewhere”. He also noted that such a phone would be technically easy for anyone, but was very glad that Sony could land rights deals with game publishers. There wasn’t a specific timing mentioned, but he did mention that he wanted to create some noise at the upcoming Mobile World Congress, an event which is often used for major international phone launches. Are we only a few short months away from seeing the PlayStation phone being officially unveiled?
