Phew! Don’t you think that it has been way too long a wait for the T-Mobile myTouch 4G to hit the market? We did know that existing T-Mobile subscribers were able to place an order for the myTouch 4G earlier than the rest of the populace, not to mention catching walkthrough videos of it in action alongside an advert which makes fun of Apple’s FaceTime video chat that doesn’t work over Wi-Fi. Well, it is finally available to the masses via T-Mobile, where it will work on T-Mobile’s HSPA+ network at a theoretical speed of a maximum 21Mbps downstream. Underneath the hood lies a second-generation 1GHz Snapdragon processor and a 5-megapixel camera that does 720p video recording with ease. It will have Android 2.2 Froyo as the operating system of choice, although there is also HTC’s Sense UI running on top of it for a more comfortable user experience. As you can see from the product page, you can choose from black, plum, white or red colors for for $199 on a two year plan, while the less patient will have to fork out $449 outright.
