Tweet Hints That Nexus One Getting Android 2.3 Gingerbread Update This Week

Whispers of the Android 2.3 Gingerbread update arriving have been going around recently and now a tweet has surfaced in Spanish, telling us to prepare the Nexus One for an OTA update to Android 2.3 Gingerbread in the next few days. A quick peek at the person’s LinkedIn profile shows that he’s involved with the leadership team and usability at the Open Handset Alliance and Android. Will it turn out to be accurate? We should be able to find out in the next few days, and we’ll be keeping our eyes peeled in the meantime

Android Android is mobile operating system from Google. The software was originally built by a company called Android Inc, that was purchased by Google in 2005. From its modest debuts, Android has become a powerhouse that powers not only smartphones and tablet, but a host of other less high-profile devices and gadgets. Although Android is not a community-driven project, Google does release the source code as open-source under the Apache license.
