Samsung seems pretty happy to announce that its HDTV-centric Samsung Apps store has hit the 1 million app download mark. The platform has only been around for less than a year and hosts about 200 apps, so it’s a notable achievement. The most downloaded apps include Hulu Plus, ESPN Next Level and Texas hold ‘em. According to Samsung, the store is available on more than 50 percent of its 2010 TV lineup and expects the Smart TV sales to hit 6.5 million units by the end of the year and 20 million units by 2012.
