This probably isn’t the happiest news for Avatar fans out there. We previously mentioned that Panasonic inked a deal that made the 3D Blu-ray version of Avatar exclusive so that you would need to purchase Panasonic equipment if you wanted to grab hold of the movie outside of eBay. While that wasn’t too bad a deal, the bad news is the confirmation that the deal runs until February 2012, which is extremely long. It’s a great deal for Panasonic that will see it milk some extra money out of die-hard Avatar fans out there, but it will also disappoint many consumers out there.
