Kindle owners out there who purchased the non-lighted Kindle cover from Amazon might have noticed some strange issues with the eBook reader after using it. Many users out there are reporting that the covers are causing the eBook reader to occasionally freeze or reboot itself (amongst other problems). While there isn’t any official confirmation just yet, speculation is that the metal hooks on the cover are the culprit as they conduct electricity and are used to power the lighted case, though there isn’t much need for it in the non-lighted version. While that isn’t too comforting news, the good part is that Amazon is already looking into the problem and has agreed to honor return or exchange requests.
