If you’re planning on doing some last-minute Christmas shopping, Amazon’s Wi-Fi Kindle might have to be struck off the list as Amazon has noted that the device is currently sold out. With such a situation, new orders will not be delivered until after Christmas and Amazon suggests that interested parties purchase the more expensive Kindle 3G instead, especially if you want it delivered in time for Christmas. It’s not hard to understand why the Wi-Fi Kindle is sold out, since it’s priced at $139, as opposed to the Kindle 3G which costs $189. The statement from Amazon reads:
“Due to overwhelming customer demand, Kindle (Wi-Fi) is temporarily out of stock. Orders placed today will arrive after December 24th. Order now to reserve your place in line. Our Kindle 3G for $189 is still available in time for Christmas.”
