Home > Apple > Apple could ship 65 million iPads next year

Apple’s iPad is one hot ticket item, and has been since it was launched sometime this year. Well, not to put down its competitors or to discourage them, but facts are facts, and we have garnered information that up to 65 million iPads could be shipped by Apple next year, where this is inferred from the number of LCD orders the company will be placing. LG Display is still touted to be the main shipper of the tablet’s displays at a whopping 35 million, although Samsung and relative newcomer Chimei Innolux are touted to make up the rest of the share at around 15 million of their own. Could this be a sign of what the upcoming iPad might hold, or is it being over-optimistic that it might just result in a deluge of iPads in the market? Other competitors such as the Galaxy Tab would do well to up their game in this rather challenging market segment.
