We previously noticed that Apple was working on a new Spiral-based iTunes user interface, and it seemed like a pretty useful interface that provided us with a nice overview of items. Now reports are in that Apple will be using the new Spiral interface to replace the current Cover Flow, which is very popular. The new design will support both standard and multi-touch displays and could possibly be included in the upcoming OS X Lion update that is due to be out next summer.
