BlackBerry PlayBook delayed due to poor battery life?In what isn’t very good news for BlackBerry supporters, a Kaufman Brothers analyst claims that RIM might be forced to delay the release of its first tablet device, the BlackBerry PlayBook. The reason for the delay is due to the poor battery life of a few hours, compared to the 6 hours on the Galaxy Tab and 10 hours on the iPad. The reason for the poor battery life is cited to be due to the QNX system that the PlayBook uses, which was designed for use in scenarios where battery life is not an issue, such as in automobiles. It was previously stated that the PlayBook would be launched in Q1 of 2011, priced around $500, and hopefully the delay won’t push this device back too far.
