Solar-powered watches aren’t new and Casio has been making such watches for some time. Now the company come added a new solar-powered watch to its G-Shock series and the actual solar panel is placed just behind the watch face. With this design, the company claims that the watch just needs 6.2W of renewable electric power to provide up to 860,000 watch movements. Will solar-powered watches become increasingly popular over battery-powered and kinetic-powered watches?
