Boy has it taken quite some time – the Cowon D3 is finally realized, moving on from ideas on a sketchboard to that of an actual device. Of course, no leaked images are available just yet, but we do know that it will sport a 3.7-inch 800 × 480 resolution AMOLED capacitive touchscreen display that is powered by Android 2.1. Not only that, it will also keep up with the times thanks to Wi-Fi and Bluetooth connectivity, carrying with it up to 32GB of internal memory and a microSDHC memory card slot. Bear in mind that the D3 naming convention will have nothing to do with the D2 and D2+, just like how the recently unveiled Cowon X7 was far different from the older X5. There are hopes raised that this will be the first Android-powered device with sound enhancements, so here’s to Cowon for their perseverance in seeing the D3 through!
