Dev Team releases 4.2.1 iOS Jailbreak The Dev Team has certainly kept everyone happy this Christmas – at least, most folks who own an iDevice, that is. Just what kind of good tidings do we bring you? Is the 4.2.1 iOS Jailbreak enough to make you stop in your tracks, as you enjoy the untethered hack released by the Dev Team as well? The software’s name is Redsn0w 0.9.7b1, where it is a beta release of the Jailbreak, which means the non-beta release is still a long way off from its release, but at least it is capable of performing the unlock trick. What do you need to have in your possession before installing this software? Well, an iOS device that has been jailbroken already, limiting it to the iPhone 4, iPad and iPod touch 4G, would be a good place to start. As always, err on the side of caution, so you might want to make a backup of your device’s data before installing any unofficial software update or upgrade.
