Fantasia Robot Guides You In South Korea

A new guide robot tentatively dubbed the “Fantasia Robot” will be stationed at the lobby of South Korea’s Buncheon City hall from December 15th 2010.This robot is probably a much cooler guide to tell you about a building’s departments and guide you to the elevators. It features a touchscreen display that will show the latest promotional videos and can also be used to make appointments or validate your parking ticket. The robot measures in at 120cm tall and can operate for 8 hours straight. The Fantasia Robot is one of the fifteen project partly funded by the Ministry of Knowledge Economy as part of a pilot program to develop cutting edge robotic technologies.
