Fossil watch stays connected to Android smartphone

Fossil’s brand of watches are no longer limited to an analog face or a digital one. No sir, this new conceptual timepiece will rely on Bluetooth connectivity to hook up to your Android-powered smartphone, displaying all relevant data on the face of the watch itself while leaving your phone untouched in your pocket. Of course, this secondary display of sorts will not be as large (and definitely not as colorful) as your Android phone’s screen, but at least it will let you in on tiny details such as weather, caller ID and amount of unread email from your phone to the watch display. A concept that might appeal to some, but for most of us, it is no big deal whipping out our phone from our pockets just to tell the time. After all, let us keep a watch as a watch – we’d hate to see the Rolex turned into something else other than an elegant piece of jewelry.
