It’s actually quite common to see folks who own multiple Gmail accounts, some of which are shared with other folks, such as other members of the family. Google has offered email delegation for Google Apps accounts for a while now, and it is now bringing the feature to normal accounts. Email delegation is commonly used by folks who want their assistants to have access to read or respond to mail on their behalf. Once it’s set up, you’ll be able to toggle between accounts via a simple switch at the top of the Gmail page. With it setup, you’ll be able to receive email from one account and also view, organize and send mail on the other account’s behalf.
