Google has released a slight improvement to its search results that it hopes might help consumers out there avoid problematic sites. The search giant has already been providing notices for malware for years and now it’s expanding the search results notifications to help people avoid sites that may have been compromised and altered. When such a site is detected, Google will also attempt to contact the webmaster via the Webmaster Tools account and any contact email addresses that are available, and hopefully the speedy notification will help reduce the length of time that sites will be affected.
