Google's Social Networking Service To Be Called Google +1?

We previously caught wind that Google’s upcoming social network project was codenamed Emerald Sea. Now word is going around that the project has already received a newer name, which is “Google +1” or “Google Plus One”. It’s easy to imagine “+1” being treated as a good version of the “Like” or “Retweet” button and considering how widely they’re used on sites around the world, it’s understandable that Google would want a piece of the pie too. It’s also been said that the project is important enough that Sergey Brin, co-founder of Google, has taken a very active role in the project. It’s also been rumored that the service has since been delayed till March or April, but we’re already curious about what Google is working on, so hopefully it won’t take too long to arrive.
